Refco is advocating for additional benefits for our membership (cost-of-living increases, health insurance availability and supplemental health insurance payments);
- Participating on the Fresno County Retirement Board to ensure that our pension system is managed in accordance with both state law and best practices;
- Meeting with the Fresno County Board of Supervisors and monitoring their actions as they relate to issues impacting retirees.
- Keeping abreast of legislative bills and working with other County Associations to support or oppose bills that would affect retirees.
- Publishing a first class newspaper, the "Grapevine", four times a year (January 2018, April 2018, July 2018, and October 2018) to keep you informed of REFCO current events and issues affecting all Fresno County retirees.
Many retirees mistakenly view the Association as a social club, but as you can see, we are much more than that. While all of us do enjoy seeing our friends at the quarterly luncheons, the Bingo Lunch and the Christmas party, the Association's major focus is to serve the membership in all the ways we have identified. This focus has had a positive impact on you, the Fresno County retiree.

Pay Statement Categories
Your Fresno County Employees Retirement Association (FCERA) pay statement contains many different categories of payment sources and deductions.
The wording for some of the categories has changed since this information was first published in 2010. This is intended to provide a brief summary of
the various categories that make up your retirement benefits and deductions, with the updated wording.
All of the benefit categories are explained in great detail in the FCERA Member Retirement Handbook, which is available on the FCERA
website at https://fresnocountyretirement.org. Click on Active Members, then on Member Handbook.
Effective June 1, 2019 the County office supply corporate pricing contract is with Staples, no longer Office Depot. There is no Staples location in Fresno. The only way to get a discount on purchases is online purchases. Click here to create an account to begin shopping at Staples online.
REFCO’s scholarship programs are administered by CSUF & State Center Community College District (Fresno City, Reedley, Madera and Clovis Community) for children, grandchildren and great grandchildren of retired REFCO members. If you have an eligible student in your family who would benefit from a scholarship follow instructions below: CSUF & FCC are only available online.
Links for the other campuses will be provided when we get them.
For CSUF click here. The Scholarship Office phone number is (559) 278-4833.

Dear Retiree, Survivor or Beneficiary
On behalf of the members of the Retired Employees of Fresno County (REFCO), we invite you to join our Association.
California law recognizes REFCO as the only official organization that represents retired employees of Fresno County. Our Board of
Directors, Officers and Committees work diligently on behalf of all retirees. Two of our members serve on the Retirement Board - one
as a Retirement Board Member and the other as an Alternate.
Many retirees mistakenly view the Association as a social club, but we are much more than that. While all of us do enjoy seeing our
friends at the quarterly luncheons, the Bingo Lunch and the Christmas party, the Association's major focus is to serve the membership in
all the ways we have identified. This focus has had a positive impact on you, the Fresno County retiree.
For those of you who live out of town or state and cannot attend our social functions, your support of our Organization is still very
important to all retirees. We hope you can at least keep in touch with what's going on with Fresno County retirees through our "Grapevine".
Since our Association is only as strong and effective as its membership, we urge you to become a member now. The larger our
membership, the more effective our impact.
It’s easy to join. Just complete the Membership Application Form and send it to us at:
REFCO, PO BOX 26384, FRESNO CA 93729-6384.
Please refer any membership questions to our REFCO Voice Mailbox at 559.431.5032.
